Janissa & Bobby aren’t originally from Milwaukee, but the two of them met while attending Marquette University and have since created a lot of fond memories here together, making it a great backdrop for their engagement session. We made our way around the city for their portraits, including a stop at Marquette’s campus and the Thrid Ward. It was fun taking in the views of the RiverWalk, hearing about their wedding, talking house-hunting and learning about their cat :) They compliment each other perfectly, and we love the big smiles they bring out in each other. Their wedding next Spring is definitely something to look forward to, and we can’t want to photograph them again! Congratulations again on your engagement, and thanks so much for the honor of being your photographers!

Kim & Andy are such a fun couple, and they brought a couple of creative props for us to incorporate at their engagement session. Since they love picking out new places to travel together (sometimes even unplanned), they brought an atlas to the shoot. We also captured the two of them with their home-brewed beer (Andy makes it and Kim doesn’t mind reaping the benefits :)
We started at the St. Francis Seminary and made our way around the area, bringing us to the gorgeous lakefront views at Bayview Park. They live nearby and love going for walks together there (who can blame them?!). The Milwaukee cityscape made a fantastic backdrop for some of their portraits.
It was a blast hanging out with the two of you- thanks for a fun session! Can’t wait to see you guys again for your wedding this October!

What can you say about Rachel & Matt’s summer wedding other than… amazing?! The day started with them getting ready with family and friends at the hotel. We love the excitement and anticipation during this part of the day and capturing all those great candid moments with our photojournalism. Just look at all those smiles! We also captured a few bridal portraits of Rachel in her gorgeous ball gown before heading to the church for the big event.
Soon it was time for their emotion-filled interfaith ceremony. It was beautiful seeing them bring their two hearts, religions and families together. One of our favorite moments during their ceremony was them excitedly looking at each other after lighting their unity candle under the beautiful chuppah. It’s clear just how in love they are :)
The ceremony was sealed with the breaking of the glass, their first kiss as newlyweds and lots of joyous hugs from family and friends before we made our way over to Kettle Moraine State Forest for their portraits. The newlyweds looked stunning against the natural backdrop. We also got some fun wedding party portraits before heading to their beautiful reception at Legend at Brandybrook. All of the details came together just perfectly! After some great speeches and toasts, we sneaked outside for a few romantic portraits at dusk.
The rest of the evening was filled with live music, an energetic hora and a great time had by all.
Congratulations, Rachel & Matt! We couldn’t be happier for you two. Thank you so much for the honor of being your photographers!!! :)
