We had such a great response to our new blog-site! Thanks so much for all the amazing feedback… it definitely made us blush a little :) It feels so good that all of our efforts are well worth it!

Do to many requests, we are sharing the still images of all of the photos that appear in our video (below)! But first, we’d like to thank the following people & places:

Laura & Chris ~ A real couple who didn’t mind being filmed for our video and who were totally up for our creative ideas

Jon at Mr. Dinos-Mayfair (website coming soon) ~ Hair (Miranda’s & Laura’s)

Gift of Wings at Veteran’s Park in Milwaukee ~ Where we’re munching on ice cream and where we purchased our fabulous kites from

Tonic Tavern in Bay View ~ Where we take a few photos and hang out for a beer at the end of the video

Video Verité ~ Videographer

And here are some video extras for you!

  • The couple featured in the video is real. All of the smiles and laughter are real, too :)
  • Miranda’s flower tattoo is symbolic of the yellow tulips her and Adam had at their wedding.
  • The fine art photos we have in the beginning of the video weren’t just for show. We love taking fine art photos as much as we can, and our work has been featured in a number of exhibitions. We also have an exciting announcement in regards to this… in the near future. Stay tuned!
  • Miranda & Adam are hanging out at Whitnall Park in the beginning of the video… like they do very often (it’s one of their favorite places to relax).
  • The book that we’re reading on the bench in the beginning of the video is one of Miranda’s favorites (Wuthering Heights, which she read for the first time in one of her favorite college classes with David Southward at UW-Milwaukee). Adam surprised Miranda for their anniversary with this Limited Edition copy of Wuthering Heights, in mint condition, with hand leather binding from 1931. It features wood engravings by Clare Leighton, signed by the artist, and is one of 450 ever made!
  • It was really cold and windy out for Laura & Chris’s session. See Marisa wearing a hat and jacket above?
  • Committed by Elizabeth Gilbert is one of Miranda’s favorite books, and also the book that Laura & Chris are photographed with, symbolic of their marriage.
  • From start to finish, this video took us nearly 3 months to coordinate and produce! The filming actually only took about 3 hours though.
  • The building of Tonic has a fascinating history. You should stop in their and ask the owner!
  • We first met Marisa, owner of Video Verité who shot and edited our video, at a wedding 3 wedding seasons ago (it seems when you’re in the wedding industry, you no longer count by years, but by seasons).
  • The photo of Laura peeking over the top of the book is Chris’ favorite.

And without further ado…! You might remember that we held a contest when we launched… well we have our winner! Dan (@polleydan on twitter)! Congrats!
